D’Mar Phillips is an accomplished and people-centered HR executive with over two decades of experience leading transformative human resources strategies across various industries. As the Vice President of People & Culture at RS Americas, D’Mar excels at creating inclusive, high-performing workplaces that foster talent development, engagement, and organizational growth. His leadership style is rooted in strategic collaboration, where he partners with senior leaders to drive business outcomes through effective people management and culture-building initiatives.
In his current role at RS Americas, D’Mar oversees global people operations, championing diversity, equity, and inclusion, while leading efforts in succession planning, performance management, and employee engagement. He is known for his ability to navigate complex organizational challenges, including large-scale transformations, while maintaining a focus on employee well-being and development.
D’Mar’s professional experience spans leadership roles at companies such as Hyliion, Clarus Glassboards, and Tucker Powersports, where he successfully drove workforce expansion, transformed HR departments, and implemented critical employee-focused programs. His tenure at these organizations includes driving significant operational changes, expanding talent pools, and managing global teams. In addition to his corporate role, D’Mar serves as the Chief Consultant for Under God’s Care (UGC), a faith-based organization dedicated to providing housing and services to underserved communities. His passion for both corporate and community impact continues to guide his work as a visionary leader who is committed to making a difference both within the business world and beyond.
D’Mar holds an MBA and a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from the University of Phoenix, and a Master of Science in Law from Champlain College, having completed his undergrad at Oklahoma State University. He is also a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and holds a Senior Certified Professional (SCP) designation from the Society for Human Resource Management.
His proudest accomplishments come from being a father, raising his daughter, Kiayah Monet’ Phillips, and his nephew, Kah’ Vanti Bell-Phillips, two teenagers attending Mansfield High School in Texas, while coparenting his 78-year-old mother with his brother. Family first, family always is his motto.
